Those we serve come across many hurdles in life and sometimes even necessities are hard to come by. Many of the youth we serve at The Academy and the families in Wraparound are living paycheck to paycheck or are even homeless. Providing them with hygiene products, inspirational items, or even a pair of socks can make a world of difference. This is great for schools or groups interested in collecting items! Fill-up a shoe box for a boy or girl and drop it off!

ITEMS NEEDED: Hairbrush – Body Spray – Deodorant – Socks – Belt – Hair ties – Toothbrush – Toothpaste – Sunglasses – Headphones – Journal – Planner – Card Games – Inspirational Book (non-religious books requested)

Vision Blanket

Give our youth something to hold on to!

With a long history of hope and healing, The Grove has flourished into a Central Florida nonprofit built from the community’s need for services. One need is met at The Grove’s Academy. The Academy is a place where adolescents are immersed in an environment that is supportive, compassionate, and empowering. Our youth come from all over the state of Florida and from every walk of life to receive support for alcohol or substance abuse. During their time with us, a vision board is created to focus on his or her vision of a better life. When it is time for the youth to graduate our program, a vision blanket is made to represent the vision. Many of our youth come from Foster Care and this blanket will serve as a reminder of all they have accomplished during recovery. Give these youth the gift of something they can hold on to. Each individualized blanket costs $80 but the value will last a lifetime.
