The
Grove Academy is located in Winter Springs. This is a voluntary residential
program serving adolescents ages 13 to 17 that have an alcohol and/or
drug abuse problem. The Grove Academy deals with issues relating to the
formation of bad habits that lead to poor decision-making, delinquency,
and substance abuse. Intensive Residential Treatment builds a foundation
for long-term recovery. Family members are strongly encouraged to take
part in the recovery process.

The Grove Academy has a 40-bed capacity with separate male and female
dormitories. The average length of stay is two to four months. Academic
instruction is offered on site five days per week in partnership with
Seminole County Public Schools. During their stay, adolescents work towards
graduating through a level system, D to A. Clients strive to reach the
next level, where new privileges and independence await.

The Grove Academy also has a specialized skill and treatment track
for Foster Care youth that have a substance abuse problem. The Grove
has had much success in facilitating passage through these adjustment
and developmental problems, and its program is among the best in the
state.
Additionally, The Academy offers a Partial Hospitalization Program
for those in need of more intense treatment than standard or intensive
outpatient, but do not qualify for residential treatment.
