Rick Parr began his career with The Grove in 2005. Rick honorably served his country in the United States Navy for 20 years, retiring in February 1995. It was during his service in 1988 that he began working in the field of substance abuse, working in both the outpatient and inpatient level of care. He graduated from Columbia College with his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and earned a Master’s degree in Counselor Education from the University of Central Florida. He is currently working with the Seminole Juvenile Drug Court, Boy’s Town and Department of Corrections, planting “seeds” of change. He has a firm belief that everyone possesses the capacity to excel in life given the right guidance and direction. When not at work, he enjoys spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren. 
 
 
MaryMargaret Biancalana, MSW, LCSW
Mental Health and Substance Abuse Therapist

MaryMargaret is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 18 years of experience working with people who are seeking to improve their emotional, behavioral, and physical health. Her expertise encompasses mental health, substance abuse, and wellness management. She uses a variety of therapeutic techniques, personal life experiences, and an emotional awareness of the human mind and spirit to support and empower people in making positive life changes. Currently MaryMargaret works with adults, couples, and families. She is also the therapist/group leader for the substance abuse Intensive Outpatient Program. MaryMargaret earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Western Michigan University.
 

Crystal G. Herbert, LMHC, NCC
Mental Health Therapist
 
Crystal Herbert is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida and a Nationally Certified Counselor . She graduated from The University of Florida in 2003 with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Rollins College in 2007 with a Masters Degree in Counseling. Crystal works with individuals, couples, and families, conducting outpatient mental health and substance abuse counseling. Crystal also facilitates The Grove’s Intensive Outpatient Program for adolescents (IOP). As a therapist, she is experienced in utilizing therapeutic approaches such as, Solution-Focused, Cognitive/Behavioral, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Substance Abuse counseling. She believes that the counseling experience is a life-changing journey, which enables individuals to explore their full potential for making holistic life improvements.  
 


Alison Mayer
Alpha Counselor

Alison earned her B.A. in Psychology from Truman State University and her M.S. in Marital Couple and Family Counseling/Therapy from Stetson University. She has a long history of working with teenagers, adolescents, adults, couples and families.
 
 
 
 
 
 

 
Pam Ogles
Drugs, Violence and Safety (DVS) Program Coordinator

Pam Ogles is the coordinator of The Grove’s Drugs, Violence and Safety Prevention Program. She attended the University of Florida (Go Gators!), and currently teaches drug prevention at Altamonte Elementary School to students in grades kindergarten through fourth. She has also served the non-profit community in marketing, and enjoys bicycling, aerobics and baking.

Amy Rainaldi began her career with the Grove right out of college in 2006. She worked in the outpatient services office until she was due with her first born son. Then she returned to The Grove again in 2011 to work out of outreach services. She started her career in Social Work and helping fields in 2004; working in food panties, residential inpatient and outpatient and now outreach. She graduated with her Bachelors in Social Work in 2005 and her Masters in Social Work in 2006 from the University of Central Florida specializing in substance abuse and children’s services. She currently provides outreach services to agencies interested in life skills, social skills and continuing education. Also providing individual services to those clients in need. When not working she loves being with her family and serving the community.

 
 
Orbi Rosario
Outreach Specialist
 
Orville "Orbi" Rosario has been working with at-risk youth for 15 years. He began his own outreach program working with youth in his community independently through career programs, prevention, tutoring & character building activities. He worked as staff at the middle school level, specifically on the D.O.P. (Drop Out Prevention) team. He provides gang prevention information to schools & organizations. He has also been a middle school basketball coach, a mentor, and is currently sitting on the school advisory committee for one of the high schools within his community.  
 
 

 
Jacqueline Hunter
Outreach Specialist
 
Jacqueline has worked with young people for more than 15 years as an educator and recreation professional. In addition, she is the founder of The College Bound Project, an organization that works with limited-income, first generation students interested in pursing higher education. The College Bound Project actively recruits economically disadvantaged, college-qualified youth—many of whom do not seek help on their own—and provides them with a proven-effective combination of college access curriculum and intensive individual support. Much of her work is concentrated on working with students who are homeless, in foster-care or who reside in public housing communities. Jacqueline holds a Bachelor Degree in Sociology from Bethune-Cookman University and a Master’s Degree in Education from Nova Southeastern University. 
 

 

Nicole Peterson
Outreach Specialist
 
Nicole resides in Orlando. She is married with two children, Natalie (8) and Emmanuel (6). Nicole has a heart for helping others. In 2005, Nicole founded Creative X-pressions, a collection of poetry used as an empowerment tool to inspire men, women and children. In 1995, Nicole was involved in a fatal car accident. She began developing her writing skills after the accident as a healing tool. She realized her gift and wanted to share it with others. Her daughter inspired her to write a poem entitled "Pullem Up" which addresses the issue of sagging pants and appropriate dress. Nicole shared the poem with politicians across the nation, promoting legislative action on the issue. Through The Grove, Nicole planned and implemented a Creative Xpressions Prevention Summer Camp in Ocoee, Florida. She represents The Grove at the Orange County Children's Cabinet and is an active voice for child welfare in the community.
