The Grove Named First in Central Region

On February 1st, The Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) Substance Abuse and Mental Health Program named The Grove Counseling Center the most effective organization in the Central Region for Children’s Substance Abuse treatment
The report was requested by Joe Negron and the Florida Senate Budget Subcommittee on Health and Human Services Appropriations. The data was used to inform conversations regarding treatment funding. The DCF report ranks substance abuse treatment facilities from most effective to least effective.
Performance outcome measures used to rank the treatment facilities include:
* percent of children participating in treatment who successfully
complete the program.
* percent who have a stable housing environment at the time of
* percent difference in the number of arrests 30 days prior to
admission versus 30 days prior to discharge.
* percent of children participating in prevention services who
complete the schedule of activities.
